N.E.R.D., Santogold, and Julian Casablancas have teamed up with Converse and have released the latest track "My Drive Thru" which will be distributed exclusively for free on converse.com. A video is also set to be released this summer.
This is another example of the future of the music industry, fans are no longer paying for music, companies are. Just as Wale recently released his "About Nothing" mixtape through 10 Deep, artists need to look for other ways of generating revenue. Get your game up and stop trying to sell your music to fans and sell it to people who will actually pay for it.
